Wheat Harvest

I have vivid memories of my father harvesting the wheat crops in Oklahoma. Hot, sticky in the sun and blissful in the shade.

The Red Bra

New painting today....this started out with the girl looking at us...and I turned her away...I like the tension. Acrylic 4" x 6"

Brigid in the Garden

I keep coming back to this style of painting. I am tired of fighting it...and will see where it develops. This painting has some good beginnings. I have been heavily influenced by Ray Donley and Milt Kobayashi....I hope some day to have the same depth in my figures as they have.

Having said all that....

I am sitting in front of my easel wondering what it is exactly I want to paint...and how do I WANT to paint it. So I am struck "tharn" and have accomplished very little. Have you had days like this??? ....btw you will know the word "tharn" if you have read your literature. hehe

A portrait of Les

I asked my husband if I could paint him and his answer was: "What color"? ha.....here is the painting of Leslie Gilbertson.
